Day 11: What would make you leave a fandom, or prevent you from getting into it in the first place?
Collective rudeness or better than thou attitudes. Sometimes it's not just some bad apples. When I start browsing and I perceive a general tone of something I don't like I would probably back away.
Day 12: Who is someone that you share the most fandoms with?
Hmm, I would say an irl friend. We both into anime, HP and science fiction.
Day 13: Squicks - What are some things that squick you in fandom - not necessarily "icky", though it can be. From anything involving blood, to bad grammar.
When people get too intense about their headcanons to the point they refuse to listen or at least consider other headcanons. The people who act like their headcanons are the only valid ones and somehow canon are the ones that annoy me the most.
Day 14: What fandom broke your heart?
I actually suffered two heartbreaks and they happened around the same time. It was the Steven Universe and Voltron Legendary Defender fandoms. It was an awful experience, it was like those fandoms were committed to suck the life and enjoyment out of those shows. It didn't help that both shows went downhill as they went on because the creators didn't know what they were doing so the shows were left with so much untapped potential and that was a primary cause of the toxicity of their fandoms because everyone was pissed.
VLD has amazing fanfic writers though, they came to my rescue when I got disillusioned with everything else.
Day 15: What fandom pairing took you over like Venom took over Eddie?
Currently, I would say is Atsuhina (from Haikyuu) They are just *chef kisses* perfect. Bless whoever RTd fanart from this pairing onto my TL because after that there was no going back. I love that they have a pretty active community of artists making fan art for it and the fic writers aren't far behind either! It's a great couple and theres great content for it so I'm happy.
